Creating Curriculum for Underrepresented Communities

I participated in a two quarter externship with The Tesla List/Innovation 4.0 where I served as a curriculum development extern. Innovation 4.0 is an educational non-profit that provides creative thinking and entrepreneurial thinking for under-served communities.

Producing Open Online Learning Tools

For EDU 6332: Open Learning, I create a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). My course, Dorm Room Nutrition and Cooking, is currently live and can be taken by anyone looking to to develop healthy eating habits or get creative in the kitchen.

Fostering Lifelong Relationships Between Alumni and Institutions

I worked as donor relations assistant within Allegheny College's development office. This was my first foray into higher education employment and opened the door for my interest in making a career out of helping students.

Engaging Minorities in Higher Education: An Action Plan Course and Case Study

For EDU 6051: Culture, Equity, Power, Influence I create an action plan course to be taught at a small liberal arts college entitle Engaging Minorities in Higher Education. This project served as the inspiration for my case study project in EDU 6225: The Capstone. By working on this project at both the beginning and end of the master's program, I bookended by degree with student-centered, self-designed research.
